The BarCamp for the re-use request service will be on Saturday 12<sup>th</sup> January 2008, at the Spey & Ness Rooms, City Inn, 30 John Islip Street, Westminster, London. OPSI has arranged the venue (Spey & Ness Rooms, City Inn, 30 John Islip Street, Westminster, London) and an outline agenda - but really we would like the re-user community to shape the day as part of shaping this new and exciting public service.</i>”</font></p><p><b><font face="Arial">Background notes</font></b> </p><ul><p><font face="Symbol">·<font face="Courier New"> </font></font> <font face="Arial">The creation of a re-use request service by OPSI was recommended by Tom Steinberg and Ed Mayo, in The Power of Information Review, published in June 2007 and agreed by Ministers in the government response presented to Parliament later that month.</font></p><p><font face="Symbol">·<font face="Courier New"> </font></font> <font face="Arial">A BarCamp <<a href="http://barcamp.org">http://barcamp.org</a>> is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment.
